This is the begging of so popular American drama basketball movie named “Finding Forrester”.
This Converse movie is a touching story about famous author who lives the life of a recluse and young boy who’s able to win the heart of the hermit.
This guy Jamal lives in his own world. He is poor by birth, he is not blazing with intellect, but he
knows what life is and he has his system of values. Jamal is a real basketball nut, he plays well and likes basketball most of all. He lives among simple folk, that guys are proud of finding themselves in police district; they are “bad” boys but excellent sportsmen.
And if there any chance to break out from this style of life, to implement your potential?
Jamal gets such a chance. He receives the invitation to enter another, more prestigious school. But how you can make a choice between old life and new one? How you can leave your stereotypes? It’s really difficult but it’s the one way out.

Afterwards, Forrester thanks Jamal and tells him of his desire to return to his homeland of Scotland. And Jamal becomes a writer and thanks Forrester for teaching him.
“Finding Forrester” is a good story debuted in US in 2000. It was nominated for many awards. It’s the favorite basketball movie for many people in the world and for me too.
