No Comments »Hi all, sorry for the no show on Friday. I ended up getting called into work when I didn’t expect to, I mean really who misses the first week back from Christmas break. It was cool though, except that I didn’t get write a post. I could have posted after school but we had plans to head down to Knoxville and eat at Ye Olde Steak House. If you’re ever in Knoxville this is a must stop on your trip, and you’ve got to get the charcoaled mushrooms. (More …)

The Converse Blog: Acie Law IV and Jameer Nelson, Samuel L. Jackson & The Last Dragon Redo
What a crazy week. I was all set to post the big post I’ve been talking about on Wednesday and then my Mother got sick and since I hadn’t called to sub that day I told my Dad that I’d take care of her so he didn’t have to take a day off of work. The only problem was in the all the excitement I forgot to post anything let alone the larger piece. Which at this point probably appears more important and interesting than it really will be. Either way, I didn’t get to post today because I had to watch High School Musical 2: 3 times today… (More …)

The Converse Blog: Converse at Media Day(s) Vol
Well I was holding out hoping to get some pictures of any new members of Team Converse. However, media day pictures are really slow coming out this year, I would even say painfully slow. Anyway, here is what we’ve got so far. Dwyane Wade below is wearing a PE version of one of his 3 team shoes this year with the Team Wade Clutch. Udonis Haslem is also pictured below, well sort of, and he is wearing a PE version of the 0100. Then you’ll see Elton Brand wearing the EB1. After that everyone you see is wearing the Converse Assist in PE versions. (More …)

The Converse Blog’s Friday Flashback: Chucks’ Golfer.
Good and happy Friday to each and everyone of you. It’s been a crazy a few days for me and I am glad to get back to posting on the blog. I still can’t say what went down, I just don’t want to jinx it, but I hope by Monday that I can speak about it. Before we get to the blog I’ve got to post some bad news. If you haven’t heard by now, Derrick Rose signed a contract with Adidas the other day. Now I don’t know how serious a chance that Converse had to sign Rose, but I really had my hopes up. At the end of the day it has now been 17 years since Converse signed the #1 draft pick. This hasn’t always been a bad thing (Kwame Brown), but I do hope it’s a streak that can end next year. Now, let’s get back to the blog and today’s Friday Flashback. (More …)

The Converse Blog: Elton Brand
So I leave on vacation for a week and Elton Brand signs with the 76ers. Then when I get home I see that Converse has finally publicly acknowledged that they signed Elton Brand, last year. However, it is only on one of their new Micro-sites. You can find it by going to the site It’s Been Way Too Long. I won’t spoil it for you, but it already has me fired up for next season. (More …)

The Converse Blog’s Friday Flashback: Michael Jordan Team USA
Happy 4th of July, which is without question the most important American Holiday. The only problem is, July 2nd 1776 is the actual day that the Continental Congress actually voted for independence. The written Declaration of Independence was dated July 4 but wasn’t actually signed until August 2. Fifty-six delegates eventually signed the document, although all were not present on that day in August. By the way, I put in an application for a social studies teaching position yesterday. I don’t know what that means for the blog, maybe I’ll just have to post at night. Anyway….today’s flashback is all about the Red, White, and Blue! (More …)
