No Comments »Recently Converse released a special make up the All Stars featuring a stencil spray paint design. You can find all three of these shoes at Converse.com, which is where I got these pictures from. One of the aspects of this release that I really enjoy is that it’s not over the top. Besides the ankle patch placement there a few other areas that are hit with the spray paint. It’s also nice that you can wear this without having to go out and buy something to match it, as all three versions come in either white/black/red or Black/white/red colorways. However, the best part of this release is in the ox version. This is one of the few, if not the only, All Star ox that features the iconic Chuck Taylor ankle patch. (More …)
No Comments »Crazy day here in Kentucky. A strong line of thunderstorms just swept across the state like a firm pimp slap. I watched it rain in 3 different directions. Then we lost power, then the power came on and then the TV went out. Oh, and I couldn’t find our battery radio or our War of the Worlds crank radio, thank you Tom Cruise. Needless to say it was pretty crazy. Speaking of crazy, these new Converse Weapon 86’s are just that. You can them in a very nice Blue/Orange Knicks inspired colorway. (More …)
No Comments »Happy 4th of July, which is without question the most important American Holiday. The only problem is, July 2nd 1776 is the actual day that the Continental Congress actually voted for independence. The written Declaration of Independence was dated July 4 but wasn’t actually signed until August 2. Fifty-six delegates eventually signed the document, although all were not present on that day in August. By the way, I put in an application for a social studies teaching position yesterday. I don’t know what that means for the blog, maybe I’ll just have to post at night. Anyway….today’s flashback is all about the Red, White, and Blue! (More …)
