Converse and Foot Locker Europe present the “Always On” competition.

If you’re reading this, and I know that you are, then you have the ability and means to use the world wide interweb. I’m also going to go out on a limb and say that atleast some of you use Facebook. Finally, I’m going to assume that you like Converse since you’re on my website.

Now that we have all of that cleared up, I want to tell you about an exciting new competition. Converse has teamed with Foot Locker Europe to start an online competition through the social networking site named Facebook. It’s the “Always On” competition and the rules are really simple…read on for the info.

To all you lovely Converse people. Starting on Monday (today), your mission is to upload daily photo tasks, score high and win great prizes! At the end of the first two weeks we will announce a winner, who wins a pair of Converse. The third, and final, week you can win a year’s worth of Converse. Awesome right?

Above you can see the Converse Padded Collar Chuck Taylor that is being released in conjunction with the competition. The facebook page can be found here and here, but not here….okay you can find it there too. Here is the kicker, you have be from Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, France, or Italy to compete.

S Friday Flashback: Converse B-M600

FRIDAY! Can you tell that I’m fired up? I love Friday’s so much that in my classroom I’ve renamed Thursday as Friday Eve. Welcome to the Converse Blog’s Friday Flashback. Today I’m bringing you a Converse running shoe from the 80′s. It goes by the name of the Converse B-M600.

I’d never seen these shoes until they showed up on eBay and then a week or two later another colorway showed up. I’m loving the use of the square star scripted Converse logo. College Football is live this weekend. I’ll be in the Nasty for the Rumble on the River between Miami Ohio and My University of Kentucky Wildcats!

Converse Golf…from China

It’s been gone for quite sometime, but I recently found out that Converse Golf is back in business…in China. Belding Golf has a licensing agreement to produce Converse Golf products. They have a few different Golf bags, Drivers, Irons, Shoes, Clothes, and Balls. I’ve got a few golf balls and a golf towl from back in the late 90′s that I got at the original Converes outlet stores. I only use those Converse balls when I putt.

I must say that I am really excited about this, but I am not exactlly getting my hopes for a return for Converse Golf here in the states. Also I’ve got to say that the shoes look pretty generic and they don’t exactly match the small pictures of the other shoes so who knows what they actually look like. I am probably mosted fired up about the Drivers and Irons, they just need some woods,wedges, and putters to complete the set.

Dwyane Wade was rocking a special colorway of the Wade 1 last night, I’ve got some pics of the shoes coming my way and I’ll post them up as soon as I get them. Thanks for checking out the blog!
