‘s Weapon Wednesday: China Year of the Ox edition

I am trying to do some really good detective work on these Weapons. First lets start with what I know, these are China release edition of the Weapon. The second thing I know is that there is a pattern on the Y bar that looks like an animal. The third thing I know is that the animal in the pattern has horns. After that I did what any good detective would do…head over to Wikipedia. As it would turn out, there is a lot good free information there…who knew? What I learned was that on January 26th 2009, China (and other countries that observe the Chinese new year) will celebrate the year of the Ox.

I just hope I am correct, there are two other colorways of this shoe, I’ll try to get some better pictures for another post. Thanks for checking out the blog, let me know what you think.

Here is an interesting twist on an all-time Classic Converse. The Lakers colorway of the Weapons is seen below. However, the gold portions of the shoe have been replaced with a Gold Faux-Snakeskin pattern. This results in a darker gold and purple colorway of this Weapon. Sadly, these are only dropping in Japan.

The Converse Blog’s Weapon Wednesday

Good Wednesday to you all and good bye to Rudy and John, we barely knew you. Things are beginning to get more clear in the race. Also while I am at it, if anyone can find a picture of one of the remaining candidates wearing Converse then they’ll have The Converse Blog’s support.

Since it is Wednesday, what you are about to see are some Weapons, so lets get to it.

I found these pics on TaoBao.com and I don’t think these will be coming out here. They appear to be taken from a Converse store in China. They are black/white/grey/red in colorway. The designs on the sides of these Weapon’s come from the old Converse Yearbook covers. I am going to get to one of those someday.
